Hot Chocolate and Prune Pudding

60g butter

3/4 cup caster sugar

1 egg

1 cup self-raising flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1 cup Angas Park Pitted Prunes, chopped

1/2 cup milk


100g chocolate

1 cup boiling water

1/4 cup sugar



  1. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Stir through flour, cocoa and prunes. Add milk and mix well.
  2. Sauce: Place chocolate, water and sugar in a saucepan and stir until chocolate melts. Pour into a 6-cup pudding dish. Place cake mixture on top.
  3. Bake in a pre-heated moderately slow oven (150ºC-170ºC) for 50-60 minutes. Serve hot with cream.
